what are the differences between Hero and G2Touch?

Hi Guys
I'm new to this forum so I hope I didnt miss a similar thread:
are there any differences between the G2 Touch and the original Hero?
That there are two diefferent forum suggests there is but I cant find any.

I'm thinking about getting a G2 Touch but I definitely dont want to find out that I cant do everything I could do on the Hero.

Any help?

I have a G2. The only differences from the Hero are:-

1. Badge on the front says T-Mobile instead of HTC
2. Boot splash screen says T-Mobile instead of HTC
3. There's a shortcut icon for the Web'n'Walk portal

Yeah, I like the black one. I have the greyish thing that Orange carry.

Strangely, I really like the white one.

Isnt T-Mobile releasing their own software updates?
So do you have to wait for them to release their own software updates or can you just use the original HTC hero updates when they are released?

I'm confused with these different names and can t believe TMO would release a phone thats not strictly TMO
