What can i do?

I got a samsung Galaxy Ace for christmas and have had it for a few weeks now, but last night i was messing around because i never seen the locks before, i typed a random one in the writing one and my phone froze, so then i went back on my phone then a few hours later went back on to set my password but i was going to set it to the pattern one, it wouldnt let me because the writing password was still on and it had on the top "Enter password" i didn't know what had happend, then i wanted to see if it would lock my phone so i did, and now my phone is on the lock and there is no way of getting off it, I JUST WANT MY PHONE BACK!:confused:

Hello and welcome to Android Forums! :)

If you enter a password too many times, the phone should prompt you to unlock it with the credentials for the Google account to which it's registered. If you have forgotten your google password, go to Account Password Recovery and change your password. Then reboot your phone.

One caveat is that you must have a data connection enabled on the phone for this to work ... either 3G or Wifi ... so that Google's servers can authenticate the account. If you have entered the pattern but do not know the credentials or have Wifi and 3G both off, there's little to do other than a full reset.
