What Causes A Sdcard 2 Get Damage?

I have sylvania Android tablet. My sdcard got damage how dose a sdcard get damage? And what can i do to make sure my sdcard won't get damage?

Could be the apps? Or could be overheating?causing to damage the sdcard.

Flash memory has only a finite number of writes before it becomes unreliable/useless. Also poorly manufactured ones will degrade terribly as well. Otherwise, short of physical abuse (breaking it in half), SD cards are very durable. They are "waterproof", aren't affected by magnetics, and have no moving parts.

I doubt an app could damage the card, heat possibly could, a drop, or sometimes electronics are just defective or go haywire for no reason. I think its worth the extra money to invest in a good quality card, but that's no guarantee, either. Best bet is to back up data frequently if you have some important stuff on there. Micro SD cards are not the most reliable storage device.

I would try using that sd card on another device such as a laptop to see if it reads the card. My old ViewSonic tablet had an error reading my card. So the card itself wasn't damage it was my tablet.
