What does this icon mean?

Hello,

I got my first Android smartphone (Pixel 4a) for a week and today, for the first time, I have noticed an icon that appears on the top right side of the screen.

Do you have any idea what does this icon show?

It means your phone is in vibrate only mode.

Now I understand why since this morning I stopped hearing the notification's sound. I guess I have changed this setting by mistake. Thanks!

This can happen if you accidentally press the volume down button when you hold or pick up the phone. If you hold the button for long enough it will fully lower the volume to zero and set vibrate mode.
