What does verizon have coming that I would want to upgrade to?

It seems verizon is taking the path they did before by having crap for interesting phones. I have the Motorola Droid and I absoultely love it, it's rooted with cyanogenmod 7 but the phone and it's limited memory are killing it for me. I have the cpu overclocked which helped a whole lot.

I generally dislike HTC, they seem as likely to drop support for a phone's update as they are to bring out a new phone, unlike Motorola who's still supporting the original droid.

With that I really just want a phone that will likely have a lot of support to it, from modders to the company supporting it ( I know you can't really tell if they will or not) and needs to have a physical keyboard, another reason I don't follow HTC due to them having some odd vendetta against using them on their phones.

Also 800mhz + on the cpu, I've discovered the worst thing a company can do with android is put a slow cpu in it which henders a lot of performance.

Sadly motorola has gone the path of not wanting people to customize their phones anymore and are locking crap down

See what the Droid 3 brings later this year. I'm really hoping that ends up being a nice phone, vanilla and good specs all around.
Moto has an unlockable bootloader on the Xoom...maybe there is hope for future handsets after all?

Ya I haven't heard much on the droid 3 but if it has a locked bootloader im not getting it, it's completely destroys the whole idea of android being open sourced. I dunno why got Motorola's panties in a bunch to where they had to tell their customers go look elsewhere if you want to run custom roms and shit. What do they care if we run cyanogenmod instead of their crappy motoblur
