What happened to Moon+ Reader ?

Hello

I was looking for a good e-book reader, especially one with a page-flipping effect.
On many websites and forum I saw recommendations on Moon+ Reader (I know there are many other good readers).
However, its not available on google play anymore. When googling it there are plenty of articles and references to it, all leading to a dead end.
By the way, none of them mentions or wonders where this app has gone and why.

Does anyone here know what happened to Moon+ Reader ?

Don't know what happened, but I've got it installed on 2 of my devices and it still works, but it isn't listed as installed in the play store. It looks like it is still available from Amazon.

I'm not sure where it went to, thought I saw it recently. If the page flipping effect is a necessity for you, I'd recommend Mantano Reader (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mantano.reader.android.lite).

Actually I'd recommend that reader period. I've tried a lot of them and this is by far my favorite. No, I don't work for them.

Their pdf plugin is still in the Play Store, but that's all I can see from them. Really odd.

I didn't recall Mantanto having the page flip. Just tried it again and that seems to be premium only.

There is mail from the developer of Moon+ Reader to the German AndroidPit site.

"my reader just been removed from Google Play, it's very unbelievable, below I'll list the original emails.
The unbelievable thing is my reader hasn't anything related to the report reason, and Google doesn't investigate anything and just removed my reader (Moon+ Reader and Moon+ Reader Pro) directly from Google Play.
Do you have any way to contact Google Play team, or report, publish this serious matter? I submitted the DMCA complaint, but only received auo-reply with unclear time and almost useless information from removals@google.com.""

Update: Google Play removed the app just because of a DCMA complaint from sangalov.aa@litres.ru

Ah. I have the premium version and didn't realize page flipping was in that one only. Didn't mean to mislead.

Thanks for the info. I will try the mantano reader (Im willing to pay for a good reader since reading ebooks is about 60% of my tablet usage).

And for the moon+ reader, its really sad they removed it from google play, however, I managed to download the apk file from another source... google play is for the lazy people...
