what happens if i unsync google calendar?

hi
I've lost one of my Google calendars on my phone and have run out of ideas to
get it back.
so was thinking of unchecking the google calendar sync option and then re checking it.
but worried it will bugger up all my events!

I've had more sync problems than most over the years (I like to mess with things) but have never had any issues from unchecking and rechecking the sync box.
That said - backing up is never a bad thing how to export Google Calendars
