Help What happens to my apps in SDcard if I formated the SDcard in my android device?

Now i want to format my SDcard because some problem, but i fear about my apps in SDcard will error or disappear. What happens to my apps in SDcard if I formated the SDcard in my android device?

Nb: some apps on my device already linked to SDcard with "Link2sd"

My device is Xperia C (rooted)

They will disappear if you format your SD card. Why not back up the files, format the card and transfer the files back?

If you've used Link2SD does this mean that the apps are on a separate partition? If that partition uses an ext file format a PC won't be able to back it up.

In that case the simplest way is to take a nandroid backup then copy that to a computer for safekeeping. The nandroid should back up the sd partition as well (if you watch the progress you will see the different partitions being backed up).

For a Gingerbread-style move to sd make sure you back up hidden files as well.
