What is a good junk filter.

Okay so here is the catch I am not sure how all this junk I am getting is coming in but I really would like to filter it all out. What is happening is as I use my phone all this stuff is appearing on my notifications menu but I do not know what kind of filter I need.
Would I need a junk mail filter to filter that out from appearing on my notifications menu or is it something else I need really lost here guys would be great to hear what you all do to filter this yucky stuff out.
Were talking like stuff appearing on my notifications menu on wining free stuff free trips I even have been getting calls how on earth is this happening.
Any help would be greatly appreciated on what you all use and think is good for filtering this stuff out thanks.

I was getting the same as you in my notifications menu. It was after downloading apps from the market but not checking what permissions the apps want, downloaded AirPush Detector from the market and it lists the apps that send junk and was able to remove them using AirPush detector and haven't had any since. Fingers crossed I don't get any more..

Apps Detector finds that and Leadbolt ads which also pushes garbage to the notification bar without warning like airpush.
