What is Dropbox?

i am getting Dropbox folder in the gallery with pictures that i haven't seen yet.the main problem is that the delete option is vanishing when i am selecting the Dropbox Folder.I have a Samsung Galaxy Pro.i have reset the phone many times but the folder is again coming into existence after a few days.PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!
