Just curious, What is going to be your next phone now that the S5 has been out for a year and half?
I just traded my still mint S5 for a mint Note 4. I wanted a bigger screen and the s-pen feature for my photography. The S5 was a great phone and I enjoyed it the past 15 months, but I needed a bigger screen.
This Note 4 will be my phone until the middle of next year.

I use to post here a lot the first few months, but haven't the past few months. Now I'm over at the Note 4 forum.

Although more than one year old, I find that the S5 is by no means outdated - quite far from that. It's still one of the best smartphones available in its size, and the improvements brought by the S6 are too small to warrant an upgrade. So in the near future there isn't going to be any "next" phone for me. If it breaks I'll get another S5.
The Note 4 is superb, especially the way it works with the S-Pen. But unfortunately it's too big to be practical as a phone. It's almost a tablet. I simply cannot imagine myself holding that monster up to my ear. :D

I really, really wanted that Note 4 when I was needing to replace a bad smartphone.....
but, when I picked one up at the store and tried to fit it into my shirt pocket, it won't fit.... too wide.

I really wanted that Pen feature, I take a lot of notes thru the day with my job/hobbies.... lots of notes, and having a Pen capable phone would really help me out.....

but, can't fit it in my pocket........ sigh!
If my S5 breaks, as of right now, I would get another S5.

It just does everything I need so darned well (except no pen) that I can't justify looking for something else.

I use a Blue Parrott truckers headset thru the day.... have to be hands free because I use a keyboard at about 120 wpm much of the day.... can't do that and hold a phone in one hand.

the camera gets a big workout every day also..........

I tired some of those Speech to Text apps..... they don't do so well with me.....
I have a heavy TexMexOkie slang that somehow, just does not get translated correctly.

You might want to check out the C-Pen. It works perfectly with the S5, especially when the high touch sensitivity is turned on. Granted, it's no proper replacement for an S-Pen, but it beats the hell out of any standard capacitive stylus I know of. It has a small, hard tip, which gives you a remarkably high level of precision (for a capacitive display, that is).

Hi, I moved to the Note 4, but I find the Note 5 has gone the same way as the S6, no replaceable battery, so I will be going to the LG G4 up to now. Phil

Not really planning to change any time soon. For one thing the S5 cost me $$, besides that the newer phones don't interest me. Not looking to go bigger, never considered the S6 which I knew about when I got the S5. I think it will suit my needs for a while yet, plus I have it all set up with root and various tweaks.

I'm not going to change to anything, I never change phones until they break... it is not Cost Effective for me.
