I have a broken phone that is a Samsung nexus 4 I found it and it is running a root called Maco does anyone know anything about this or?

Nexus 4 was made by LG, not Samsung. Apparently, whether rooted or not, Mako is just that phone's code name (the reference used by its developers/engineering teams)
