Help What is Sprint going to do about the Android MMS Threat

What is Sprint going to do about the recently (web) reported Android MMS threat? Articles on the net indicate that Google already has produced a patch, but the manufactures and then the carriers have to release the patch(es). Do the manufacturers (e.g., HTC, etc.) and carriers (e.g., Sprint, etc.) delays in releasing the patch needlessly expose customers' phones to this malware?

No one knows what they or any of the carriers will do.
Someone submitted a patch and Google accepted it and it is available for the manufacturers and carriers. I guess it is a waiting game to see if the patch is sent out to the masses.

T-Mobile has already spoken up about it, HTC has had the patch in all projects since early July.
