what is the best battery widget?

BatteryTime has worked well for me (the app itself shows remaining time for different operations). The developer is always improving and updating the program, remaining open to user feedback.

I use Battery Status. They have a free version and a paid version. The paid version ($0.99) allows you to skin the widget. I like this one, because it also adds the battery status in the notification bar.

Hi,

i had a battery widget that when you clicked on it it had links to wifi/bluetooth etc
Does anyone know the name?

Thanks

Battery Left is good too
+1 :)
It claims to be able to calibrate itself over time; I don't know the truth of this except that its estimates are very, very good.

Also, in real life l'm not interested in my battery's percentage, but how much time I've got left on it -- and that's what Battery Left does. :)

That is Battery Widget. Let's you quickly get to Bluetooth, WiFi, and GPS settings.

Back in my Windows Mobile days, someone at xda developers made an app that showed the battery charge in a solid band across the bottom or top of the screen. It was two or three pixels tall. Very good looking app, unobtrusive, did the job and kept out of the way. I would pay a dollar for that on my droid.

Battery Indicator by Darshan has the advantage that it resides up in that area above the window, so it doesn't eat any icon space. Shows you the percent of battery remaining. Plus, it's free!

So far of all the widgets I have been playing with Battery Left is the only one that displays time remaining percentage in 1% increments on the Droid (all others that I have found are in 10% increments). Now that I have had it running over a week it has proven to be very accurate.
