What is the best way to stream video over wifi to an Android device?

My Nook Color I ordered comes in tomorrow (hopefully). I'm looking for a way to reliably stream video to my NC while I'm at home on my wifi network. The Nook will be rooted.

1. Only needs to work on wifi. Don't care if it works on 3G or not.

2. Needs to be reliable. I want to be able to set it and forget it on my computer and use an app on my Nook to access it.

3. Needs to stream video. Audio doesn't matter. Video is what I need to be able to stream.

Suggestions?

Try Gmote from the android market.

How exactly does GMote stream video? I looked at it on their web site and I'm not sure how it's a streaming option.

I use VLC streaming app on the android for streaming videos. It works flawlessly
