Help What is the highest update that the Samsung Galaxy 3 can get?

Hello. I own a Samsung Galaxy 3, and I was wondering whether or not it will be able to update to a higher version. My current version is 4.1.2. Thank you very much.

If S3 is anything like the S4, then there are a lot of different variations.

As far as what official updates may come in the future... beats me but if there haven't been any updates lately I wouldn't hold my breath.

With root you may have more options.

For most models it will be 4.4.2 stock.
Lots of custom Roms available up to 6.0
