What is the latest on S7 rooting?

I think this is the latest

but it has this warning

! IMPORTANT ! WARNING #3: It appears that an OTA is being distributed that may be partially flashing devices before checking if they are in an unofficial state. This could leave your device in a half flashed different version state! The message you may see after this is something about DRK verification failing from reports (no screenshot available), and the device WILL NOT BOOTeven after flashing a full stock firmware package and wiping in stock recovery! No known solution has been found so far. Root or use custom images knowing this risk. (some have been quoted $250 for repair)

which is a concern...

Mine is a standard retail S7 from Carphone Warehouse in the UK. It should not be a Malaysian etc model.

I have been delaying rooting until a few OS updates come through, and I think Samsung have done two so far. I doubt there will be many more now... any views on that?

Yes - that's the Qualcomm CPU model, sold mostly in the USA, which was previously un-rootable.

Mine is the Samsung one, which has been rootable from Day 1. But now we have this warning...

I would like to root mine because I have some stoopidly written apps which don't recognise the external SD card, and I need to use APPS2SD to re-map internal storage paths to SD card paths. I am doing this fine on a rooted T705 on 4.4.2.
