what is wrong with Google and credit cards

All i'm trying to do is change the card details on my Google account. Have gone to Google wallet and pressed new card, but it won't let me change any details. Why wont google take my card details. Aren't they interested in making money. Can anyone help. All i want to do is buy an app for my daughters tablet.

Just checked my Google Checkout, it's got an old Visa debit-card which expired last year and that bank account was closed. It will only let me change the expiry date, NOT register a new card. This is something Google will have to fix. Although I'm not very likely to be buying anything that uses Google Checkout any time soon, e.g. Android Market.

why not?? is there a problem with this? i mean i registered my card sometime back and i hate the fact it NEVER ASKS me which card i witsh to use and RETAINS my card number. its not very normal i think and i would a) want to be asked each time HOW/(with which card) i want to pay and B) if i would like them to RETAIN a number of my card!!

what to others here think and should i worry?
