My mother has been following special actions and promotions about tablets on an online shop that's only accessible for employees. She likes the idea of a tablet for browsing the Internet and Facebook. I don't think that she will use it for anything else. My parents share laptop and a tablet is a good solution for when both want to go on the Internet.

Although she wants a tablet, she doesn't want to pay much. Now there's a 7 inch tablet on sale from 100 euros to 65 euros, I know it's really cheap.

What do you think about the specs and will it suit her needs?

Should do just fine for that, Pandora, and a few other random tasks. Its not super fancy, but its got nearly as much power as my old Acer a500 did.

I still have my acer iconic a500 and in my opinion it's still great :p

Is the resolution acceptable for a 7 inch? And what about the battery?

I can't speak on the battery, but I can say this- working at Office Depot, I saw a few 480x800 tablets. They aren't great, but at 7", they aren't bad, either. It should be sufficient, but not much more than that.

I wish I had not given my Iconia to a friend when I got my Nexus 10. It would be a great workhorse tablet, or a great one to test development on.
