Gonna make this as short as I can as I know readig a wall of text aint fun.

Anyways, gonna be choosing a new phone relatively soon. I'm in zero rush to upgrade, so if theres something I should waitfor or look out for, let me know.

I'm currently with (and will stay with) Rogers, so here is my selection: http://www.rogers.com/web/link/wire...lan&productType=normal&N=52+11+4294948709+277

I have a bit of a criteria to choosing; I wont be using this phone for a whole lot, but I will be using it very often.

This phone will mainly be for phone uses (obviously. Texting, calling, videocalling, etc.), playing some emulations (mainly GBA and NDS), a LOT of web browsing, watching anime, and I wont really game much on the phone, but I do want the option to be there.

I dont like a very large phone (So no Samsung Notes unfortunately) and the S4 seems to be the very limit of what would be acceptable for one handed use for me.

I also want a good display. So 720p atleast and a good panel type; this would be necessary so I can watch my videos and anime well; I'll be doing that a lot.

I definitely need LTE support.

Also, the phone should have enough power to play flash video at native resolutio well. I'm not sure how the unofficial flash apk that everyone uses utilises threads, so I'm not sure if quad cores would have a large edge.

Battery life is EXTREMELY important to me. It needs to last atleast a full day of good use.

So far, what I think my shortlist is: HTC One, Samsung Galaxy S4, Moto X, LG Optimus G and the Motorola RAZR HD LTE.

I like the HTC because its very powerful and has good audio and display. It's design is attractive but not amazing in my opinion.

I like the S4 because it's a spec monster with a great display and a nice software feature that pauses videos when I'm not watching.

I like the Moto X because it is compact and a little rugged. Apparently has good battery life and I like it's voice control feature; but I dont know how good it is and if I can use it with a headphone microphone.

I like the Optimus G because it seems to be extremely snappy and has good battery life.

I like the RAZR HD LTE because it seems to have great battery life, and is also snappy.

Anyone have any opinions on what kinda phone I should choose or be on the lookout for?

seems like your leaning twords the Moto X and it should do everything you need it to. plus if the S4 is at the upper limits of your size range the Moto X should fall right into the comfortable range.

Thanks Cronis;

A few questions:

Does anyone know what kinda battery life the Moto X has in comparison to the S4, One and Optimus? I know it had a smaller battery, but it also has a lower res, is a dual core, and has an AMOLED screen, so that might help... Anyone know?

Im gonna take the RAZR off the list. Theres no point in sticking myself with an old dual core on ICS with half the RAM of everything else. There just isnt.

Might drop the One as I like the S4 better; just gotta look more into these "lag" issues with the S4.

You could always go for the GS3 I have one and love it! Just a thought but seems like it would do well for you if you aren't going to go for the S4. I love new phone day its right next to new car day for me!!! Good Hunting
