What kind of router do I need for Hotpsot @ Home?

I was wondering what kind of router would I need for hotspot @ home?

I have a wirless g router currently

If I am hooked up to it do i get internet at my road runner speed on my phone?

Hot spot @ home is a service for unlimited calling over wifi, also know as UMA calling, which the G1 does not support. It has been argued that it is a harware issue, but others say it is a software issue. I personaly believe it is software, either way the G1 at this point will not do it. Not to say that WiFi would be a waste as you can surf the internet over WiFi and it is faster than 3G. Just enable WiFi under settings connect and surf. If your network has a password or wep encryption you will need to input that into settings the phone will remember them and log you in automaticly when you are at home.

Would iSkoot work to have Skype calls at least?
