What laptop is for me?

HalfFrozen

Android Enthusiast
I am VERY close to getting a new 13" MBP with the i7 or the 15" with the i7(both of them with the latest INTEL processor so sandy bridge FTW)

But at the same time, before I finally join the dark side as far as laptops go, I need some advice/input on what others think is a good laptop for me.

What I will be using it for:
Heavy use programs...
3D programming, Layouts(GoogleSketchUp Pro)
Cad like programming (MetaCAM[software used for water-jet operating)
Adobe PhotoShop CS4/5

Minimal usage...
Sony Vegas

Casual usage...
Hooking laptop up to home TV to watch vids
And usual Internet browsing.

Anyways, just need some help deciding, I keep reading all these reviews about the HP Envy 14... but I don't like glossy laptops or ones that show finger prints alot...

Thanks for looking.

So do you already have the cad software and all? Because if you have it for Windows you might want to stick with a pc.

Personally I'm DYING to get a System76. They're a small company but they make mac quality hardware without the dark side aspect. And best of all, they ship with Ubuntu.

grab your HP envy 14 and stick protecting film over it
or simply take care of it like a car
2-in-1 car shine product and wax it once a month :p

But I also hear that HP products suck ass. lol

I have been looking at the ASUS G Series G73SW-A1 Its a hardcore gaming laptop, but from what I was reading over the weekend, most people like me in this industry use 'gaming like' laptops.
