I also had an iphone and the inspire blew it out of the water i love my inspire for everything but battery life but battery is replaceable.

If you havean availabe upgrade go to best buy try out the inspire its free except for the 18 dollar upgrade fee on your bill.

Try it out, dont like it? return it within 30 days no downfall

It all depends on what you want, and how much you want to spend.

The AT&T Inspire is the least expensive and very good.

The AT&T Infuse has a larger display at 4.5" and is also very good. Just about twice the price.

I estimate the Samsung S II will be released for about $299 and it's going to be called the "Attain".

So there are two very good choices now, and one that will be here soon. The Attain is widely regarded as the best smartphone ever made.

I bought an unlocked one from abroad when they first were released, and it's a really impressive smartphone.

Hey, it's Android, you cant' go wrong :)

I heard rumors of the HTC holiday, a dual core android beast. Not sure when it's coming out, probably before the summer is over.

Thanks for the responses so far! Money is not the concern its just the fact that I dont want to be outdated buy a phone a few months old and then something better comes out. I work at Bestbuy so I know the whole deal with the upgrades butttt AT&T is giving it to me before my upgrade date. So any ideas on when the Holiday comes out and is the attain worth the wait?

Also are the "4G" phones that are running HSPA+ right now LTE upgradeable I just want to make sure they will be able to be used on the LTE network for real 4G when it eventually rolls out.

Thanks !

Attain is definitely worth the wait. Also, you have to realize that no matter when you get a new phone, something better is going to come out long before your two year. However, the The Attain (SGSII) will be relevant for quite a while after its release (think OG Droid, Nexus One etc).

If you're in one of the 'early release' LTE markets, I would wait until the summer lineup is out. Any phone now will only be HSPA+ capable and you don't want to miss out on those blazing LTE speeds. Of course, assuming that you're in one of those markets.

Personally, I plan on selling my Inspire this summer for one of the new LTE devices. Hopefully the HTC Holiday if the rumors are true.

I have the Inspire 4G and love it. HTC has probably the best overlay on Android devices of anyone out there. Of course that's my opinion. I don't know about the Samsung Attain (galaxy 2) it the Galaxy S seems to be trying to look like an iPhone. If I wanted an iPhone I'd get an IPhone.

Respectfully my next comment is NOT directed at you:

I strongly disagree with this whole theory of "the Galaxy S looks like and iPhone".

The net is saturated with this BS, all because Apple's Arrogant CEO & company sued Samsung which gives something for his cult like followers to bash Android enthusiasts with.

Apple likes nothing better than being the bully, and suing everyone in sight.

I have several HTC's and they look alike.

I also have several variations of the Samsung Galaxy models such as the original S, the Captivate, the relatively new Nexus S.

Then there's my iPhone 4, the one smartphone I like the least.

I like to stay abreast of what's going on by owning and using these phones, therefore I bought an iPhone to use concurrently with my other Androids.

Also being dependent on iTunes which operates far faster on my MacBook Pro than the Windows version on my ThinkPad, it pairs best with the MBP. I work in a cross platform environment anyway so I live with both Macs & PC's.

Back to my point, if you go to GSMArena.com - GSM phone reviews, news, opinions, votes, manuals and more... you will see that nearly all the smartphones look the same, after all there is only so much one can so with the shape given the large rectangular display.

Finally they are always shown with a home screen full of icons, whereas the unique aspect of Android is that you don't have to have that. You can simply work from the app drawer or have a few widgets laid out.

At the end of the day no matter whether it's a Samsung or HTC or Motorola, nothing beats the plain vanilla pure Android experience one gets with the Nexus line. I only wish mine had the specs of my SGS 2, and I would be happy, as that would be the ideal single Android phone for me.

Finally no matter what it looks like, Android phones are my favorite by a very wide margin. They are a _Real_ handheld computer with a readily accessible file system which is very useful for many of us.

I'm staying with Android as my primary smartphone of choice for quite some time.

My current selection are all quite nice and if I had to choose just one, I would really be in trouble. ha...ha...ha...

I would probably choose the Samsung Galaxy S2 simply because for my usage it's the best of the lot. Till tomorrow at least.

Cheers :)

Why . . . why do you have so many phones? Are they all on lines, or do you keep switching up the sim card for a new flavor of the day? And also, two of your phones are practically identical. Are they your family's phones, or just yours?

I can't find any rumors about Attain, but two of the other networks' phones are rumored to come out next month (July).
