hey everyone.

just out of curiosity, has anyone installed any apps that are non android market? if so, which ones have you installed? i have "Hi yahoo" on my eris but i dont like it too much. i was wondering if i could go to yahoo's website and download yahoo messenger to my eris instead?

I had Evernote beta but I ditched it, just not for me (the overall service). I like to keep control of my data in open formats not in some wackadoodle proprietary api.

Some people love it for it's ease of use and centralization of data though, and to each their own.

unfortunately, u couldn't go to yahoos website and install messenger and use it :((

and to answer ur inquiry i personally have yet to install a non-market app

I have downloaded an app from an (ahem) "adult" store, but the offerings are so slim that I did not download anything from it. The app was free, but the store is still in a development mode. They only had approx 10 other apps available, mostly games.

I ended up removing the app the same day I downloaded it.

When researching my purchase for the Droid (that I now have), I was looking for a good Bible program. CadreBible only has their free "lite" version in the market; you have to go to their site for the full version (which I did and enjoy VERY much).
