What phone?

Hello all. I am currently an iPhone user (and sometime developer), and am leaving AT&T happily behind. I want to get an Android based smartphone and wondered if there are any I should consider beside the Droid. I am thinking the Droid/Verizon is a good choice, but wanted a few opinions. I will be doing a bit of development for Android.

I have done some googling for sites that compares Android smartphones but not with much luck. Are there sites you can recommend?

If there is a good phone around the corner I can wait, but am growing very tired of dropped AT&T calls. I am in the US (Seattle) and needing better coverage then what AT&T provides here.

Eris is probably more comparable to the iphone in terms of form and performance. With the Droid...you're going to hit hyperspace. Do you need the keyboard might be the important first question. And if not, either Eris or whatever comes next, which sounds like an Eris Droided up performance-wise.

Go with Droid. The screen is super fantastic (no exaggeration, honestly), and the hardware keyboard is a very nice plus.
