Hi,
I used to connect to a public wifi which once connected I enter my credentials (login/pass) into a webpage to gain access to internet!
Today I was surprised by the Gmail application synchronizing email without me being allowed to access internet (but connected to the network).
I thought it was just a cached version of the email but I even succeeded to send emails, so my conclusion was that the network is blocking only the http 80 port and not the other ones.
I want to know which port / protocol is used by the Gmail application on Android, for information I'm using HTC Magic.
Thank you.
