What songs get stuck in your head?

This happens to all of us. Unless you were born deaf, have no short term memory, or live in a cave somewhere with no music allowed, songs get stuck in our heads.

This can be for songs you like, don't like, started to like now don't anymore, or anything else.

For me, that one "let it burn" I think it's called gets stuck in my head. I make fun of it and say I would need to breathe helium to sound like that. I don't hate it, but even though I don't listen to radio stations that play that, it is often stuck in my head.

I have way more, but I'll wait to share until more of you chime in.

Have fun!

People make fun of me for I whistle all of the time. I have tunes running 24/7 in my mind and they jump out of me with a whistle. There is never a given song or even a genre... one song leads to another it seems. Great thread..

The song recently stuck in my head is that new song, "I'm so happy". Forgot who is was by, but the first time I heard it, I didn't like it. It got stuck in my head and now, (funny thing) I bought that song from Google Music :p

I'm another who always has some tune or other running. Sometimes the same one may last days (with interludes of others), other times it can segue constantly like olbriar says. Sometimes I know what sparked a particular tune, sometimes not.

Currently it's "Shine On You Crazy Diamond", probably because I watched a documentary about making the album Wish You Were Here a week or two ago.

I love the music that was popular when I was in high school and college.... late sixties and early seventies. The songs are old enough that it's sometimes tough to remember artist and title. I will get a song in my head and it will reappear every other day or so until I finally remember who it's by or the title. It never slows me down.. I can whistle the song without total recall. However, the song doesn't leave my playlist until I remember the group or title. I bet I spent over a month trying to remember who "I Ain't Got Time Anymore" was by. Great tune but I about wore it out before Glass Bottle finally came to me one day. That's the way it goes with songs that mean something to me but just weren't by big name groups.

Those are the songs I remember and like, though I was in Jr. High & High school. :) When I hear a good one, it will stick in my head the rest of the day. Lately, nothing has been sticking.
