Help What the heck has happened to my phone!!

Ok i need some serious help here. My huawei sonic was fine an hour ago, its only 3 months old and all of a sudden the screens gone loopy! Its like its not registering my touch, when i try and slide the slide lock its just jerking, when i can fight long enough to get in i touch one side of the screen and it registers as if i touched something on the other, its all over the place, i cant get into anything, the 3G network symbol is gone too and thats always there. ive tried pulling the battery out, leaving it on charge for a bit, leaving it switched off for 10-15mins, ive tried resetting it (you dont even want to know how hard it was to get it to do that!) please? help? ive got contacts and photos of my kids on there that i just cant lose! Whats going on!!!!

Good news:

By default those photos should have gone to the SD card. Which can simply be removed and plugged into your computer. Also your contacts SHOULD (by default, if not what were you thinking) be linked and sync'd to your google account and are not lost.

Bad news:

It sounds like a digitizer problem (which any competent phone tech can replace). You may want to try installing clockwork mod (touchscreen not used) and backing up your system (again process uses the power/volume buttons not the screen) and then doing a restore. Just to make sure you are eliminating any possible software issue.
