What you like or dislike in 4.4 Kitkat ???

Dislike;
1.) only one panel in settings instead of side by side.

Like;
1.) Browser quicker from blurry to clear font when scrolling large pages.
2.) seems once loaded over 100mb more is free.
3.) Over all seems a bit snapier but that could just be a placebo effect.
4.) Seems it charges a bit faster while on. Less power being drawn? Battery during browsing seems to last longer, again could be placebo effect.

Same as above. ART isn't any faster on the N10 after extensive testing (though I'm going to leave it as enabled to see how it affects battery- in theory should have small improvements). The overall device IS much faster and snappier. Colors have been recalibrated on the N10 slightly, from what I can tell.

Same as Post #2 really, I'd throw in disliking still having the black bars top and bottom unlike on the Nexus 5.

In the nicest possible way, is your ROM good? :D

I haven't had the need to root & flash since I had my Galaxy S2. I used to flash a fair bit on that, but it led to some crazy performances on the phone (good & bad). My wife uses the N10 & it wouldn't be good for me to start messing about unless it was properly stable :P

231 downloads :p

Its stable- if you want the most basic install, once you're in the custom recovery, you'll get a few questions. Answer "Category 4" ("Category 4 No GEL" if you don't have a Google Apps package handy), "None", and "Do not install SuperSU" if you want an unrooted OmniROM, basically.

ART breaks a handful of apps and, in my experience, does not make the tablet any faster (benchmarking shows a score increase of .25%)

TBH the only change from Jelly Bean I've noticed is the settings menu lol... I guess it seems snappier? Dont get me wrong, I love it! I'm glad its more efficient now.

I dislike, no, I hate, the email format. I hated it with Gmail and now it has funneled down into all email accounts. I prefer being able to "check" the email that you want to delete, then deleting it instead of having to long press to select.

I'm not rooted, so I don't know if there are other options out there.

I just tap the coloured box on the left with the first letter of the sender, can select multiple emails then. I'm not rooted either.

I don't want to flash a ROM onto my 10 and then break OTA updates (its enough of a pain to wipe all my data and flash ROMs to update the OS on my GS3) but hope that ART will make it without the need to flash a ROM. Dalvik sucks

It made it tons more fluid with the rom I put onto my GS3, which I notice more now when my 10 and 7 Nexus devices start micro stuttering. Any word on whether or not a Google will give their other products the benefits they give the Nexus 5? Without them KitKat feels more like a minor service pack rather than an upgrade. I've waited a long time to get iOS style fluidity and I got it on my phone but without such benefit on my tablets I feel jipped. I'm a heavy Android user (especially games) and if one hasn't had an issue with the Dalvik heap getting full and causing OOM panics then I suppose you wouldn't care whether or not ART is missing in Dev options

I've never experienced that issue, unless I didn't recognize the symptoms

Android lag, stutter, non-smooth scrolling, many play store errors and some random reboots point to either full Dalvik heap or too many apps attempting to fit into insufficient ram, and I often have more than 200 apps installed and half that running. This quickly showcases Dalvik and the laggy behavior that makes Android feel inferior to iOS.

Launcher redraws, stuttering animation and transitions, black screens and App Not Responding prompts are also parts of Dalvik I've had to live with that appear gone in ART. The Nexus devices really would benefit from it.
