What's a good app for bookmarking GPS coordinates?

I am shocked that Google maps doesn't provide this and I've been searching for hours and haven't found anything that's widely used, but does anyone have any recommendations for an app that bookmarks your current location and will guide you back to it with a compass/map? I would like to be able to store multiple locations and possibly be able to categorize them.

I've seen a few car park locater apps that seem to lack the basics, judging by the lackluster comments. Locus seem interesting, but only stores a single entry and is really overly focused on the "car" aspect of finding a location. If I weren't so swamped I'd write it myself but I figure there's gotta be some obvious app I'm overlooking. Thanks!

While in Google Maps when you see what appears to be a word bubble like in a comic for example with a name or address in it click on it. It will bring you to a screen with the name and or address of the location, reviews and options to call or get directions etc. In the top right hand corner there should be a star if you click that it will add it to your starred places. From the map screen you can click menu then starred places and from there you can access all above said options.

Its not exactly coordinates but if you long press on the arrow that shows your location it will bring up the same screen reading location accurate to so many meters of such and such place.

Thanks for the reply, but I'm really looking for a way to bookmark specific coordinates and not homes or businesses. :)

I would like this too! i have a friend that lives in a trailer park and I "stared" his location when I was there and the location ended up moving to the main street before you enter the park. I would most definitely like to see the ability to mark ANY location, even up in the mountains!!

Recently I have purchased 'Hiking Diary'.
No unnecessary tracking and navigating features. The app saves the location and I can add text and pictures.
For each entry, I can see the location in Google Maps or directly in my car navigation app (Navigon).
