Whats App Spam

Hi all,

Not really an S3 question, but as the app is running on a S3 thought i'd ask here.

I'm being spammed via Whats App. I am receiving up to 15 messages a day asking me to confirm my number to win an iPad, when you click through, if you agree to the T&Cs you will be billed

First off are you positive it is the app? If so message the developers about it and see what they have to say...

Otherwise have you tried downloading a SMS blocker, it should block those pesky texts for you

It's not the app per se, but people using the App as their method to spam.
SMS blocker only works with SMS clients, unfortunatley What App isn't a SMS client.

Good thought though.

If it shows up in the notification bar you could press the notification (keep pressed) and a button shows up to display the app it is coming from. If it is coming from an App that is.
