As unnamedny said, Super Clear LCD and Gorilla Glass are like the lenses in your eyes and the glass on your car. Which is better?
The better the screen (SC LCD, SuperAmMOLED, etc.), the better the uncovered display will look. The harder the screen covering (Gorilla Glass, Gorilla Glass II, etc.), the less prone to breakage the screen will be.
The best, highest resolution screen, made of super-thin, very brittle glass is almost useless. Touch it, drop a feather on it, blow on it and it'll break. Transparent aluminum screens (make it so, Mr. Scott) with low resolution and washed out colors aren't very interesting, even if you can pound nails with them.
I'd like to see a super-intense (visible in direct sunlight with almost no power), 3 billion color, 1920X1080, 2,000 ppi screen with the hardness of diamond. At less than the price of the Starship Enterprise.
I'll settle - in late 2013 - for super AMOLED Gorilla Glass 3. If I'm still using cellphones in 2023, I probably wouldn't give you $10 for an antique like that.
