What's for dinner ?

We went out to eat with my son and his wife. They took us to an eatery called the Red Bird Sandwich Company. It was an upscale sandwich spot and the food and service was just fantastic. I had a wagyu double cheeseburger and potato wedges. My wife had a turkey club sandwich and potato wedges. It was quite a bit more food than either of us could eat. My burger was one of the best I've every had and everything was almost too hot to eat when it was served. It was over priced but super good and hanging out at the upscale places costs extra as well. I'll eat there again.

I had the second half of my wife's turkey club sandwich from last night and warmed up a few of her potato wedges for dinner. It wasn't as good as my burger but it was very good. Making one more meal out of last night's dinner makes the price paid far more reasonable.

Been almost too hot for me to want a "hot" meal, lately. Last night I simply had a sandwich. I'm trying to find a can of fruit for tonight but all the Boss Lady has is fruit pie filling.
Fruit pie filling and vanilla ice cream... or two slices of white bread, buttered with cinnamon and sugar and fried on one side then filling spooned between the slices and the outer side fried. Old boy scout pie. Best in a camp fire pie maker but improvised is not bad.

I'm grilling out some seasoned chicken thighs. I'm will fix some green beans with cream of mushroom soup to go with it. Easy peasy and pretty tasty.

We will likely have dinner out tonight. It's early so it is anyone's guess right now.

And so it is. My wife suggested we eat at my favorite restaurant.. Villar's Mexico Cafe. She's a keeper. :)
