What's the actual trade-in value for GS3?

I'm confused, I was offered $299 for my GS3 a few weeks ago now I'm seeing people posting it for $199. I wanted to save up for the GS6 so I'm holding out a few more weeks. What's the trade in value right now? 2 or 3 hundred? If it's 200, why would they change the value now? Also, is it worth saving to pay the difference for the GS6? Or should I settle for the G Stylo? Thanks!

If someone offers you $200 dollars for a GS3 you should take it. $300 dollars? Dream on. I sold mine about a year and a half ago for $350 and that one was in mint condition. It was the old CDMA model for Metro.

Here is the price list to trade in you phone:

That is only for CDMA Metro phones though. Looks like they changed the Galaxy S3 price, it used to be $299 last month but now it's only $199.

Bummer. I was offered $300 and was going to pay $450+ difference for the s6 but they were sold out. Hopefully the folks at corporate can throw me a bone out there. If not, I'm getting the "G stylo" because the difference is too much anyways even if I'm getting $300.

UPDATE

I went in to corporate today and they gave me $300 for my S3. I ended up getting up the stylo plus case, screen protector, earphones AND speakers for my trade in value :D. So yes everyone in spite of what the website says, they're still offering $300 for the S3.

I traded in my S3 for $299 credit on June 15, 2015, at a Los Angeles MetroPCS authorized dealer. I used the trade-in credit to buy a S5, which had taken me awhile to find a store that still carried one. The store told me that the $299 trade-in credit was only given to people who were trading in a CDMA S3 for a GSM phone; otherwise, the trade-in credit was only $199.
