What's the best news headlines app?

I tend to look at New York Times the most because it loads quick, it's easy to read, and it gives you the top headlines.

I like the AP one a lot because you can add all your subcategories, but that thing takes forever to load.

I don't use it often, I just open it up while waiting at a restaurant or something to see what's happening in the world.

Anyone recommend anything better than the NYT?

Personally I use 'BBC News' by Jim Blackler. It's very fast, looks nice and gives breaking news alerts.

I'm using Google News and Weather. All it says is version 1.1.7.

I don't remember exactly where I got it from, but it's a great app.

Google FastFlip in the browser is really good, and Express News is pretty good too.

However, I've resorted to using a second Twitter account just for news and follow all my local and major news sources on it. I use HTC's PEEP Twitter client for my personal Twitter account, but I use Seesmic in 'large font mode' to follow the News.

National News I follow:
ABC
NBCNews
CNETNews
CBSNews
CNN
cnntech
CNNLive
foxnewsbrk
cnnbrk
fxnscitech
foxnews
Was following foxheadlines, but that one had too much coming in so I unfollowed.

Local News I follow:
ABC and NBC news affiliates
The local Bee newspaper

A second twitter account for it is a really good idea. The only reason I signed up for twitter is so I can sit there on draft day and trade deadline day in the NHL and stare at it while watching the live coverage on tv.

I use Express News. It has a widge that displays the top ten stories, that can be set up to be whatever you want (AP top stories, sports, etc.) Updates well for me.

I love the 'Sky News' for Android app (for version 1.6 and over). Up to date and the video is really smooth.
