what's the best video recorder app

Can anybody recommend a good video recorder?
There must be a better video recorder than the stock one.

I'm not sure if there is one. Most are just frontends for the built-in camcorder, from my understanding.

But I do like FastCam Recorder, it lets you record with the push of one button. I put the icon on my desktop for fast recording.
