The Samsung S5 has this new battery cover design. At first I thought it was ugly but it has since grown on me and I've ordered the blue S5. However the S-View case replaces the back cover and you are left with more of a purse/wallet looking design.
With the S4 S-view cover, yes it replaced the back but it still had the same design, just covering the screen. I Find it odd Samsung have a new back design for the S-view cases when they have re-designed the back of the phone. ..apparently has a nicer texture to it etc..so I think it'd be a shame to replace that from the get go.
On my S4 I like the added protection for the screen, I may just go without on the S5 though. ..or get a "screen protector" ..for the first few days anyway
...I never like those. Although, they have come on a lot over the years, have one on my ipad air and it's barely visible.
