Whats with the spam apps?

Hey guys new on here.

I was wondering what was with all these really awful bad spam apps.
theres like a million apps based on korean chicks, and all they consist of is a few pics etc...

shouldnt poor material like this be kept off the market?

As nice as it would be to "thin out" some of the worthless apps, you can't really do that w/o turning it into the iPhone App Store where everything has to have approval first.

You are the best censor for what kind of apps you want on your phone. If there's something available that you don't want, that's choice not noise.

Not really, no, although that is the common perception.
What would be nice was to achieve a higher average and/or total rating than the app store has.

I've begun banging my drum for app stores to be compared on quality rather than quantity.

I'll also toss out there that there are a lot of apps on the iPhone that are just crap as well.

Well it IS a bit annoying when you decide to check the Just In category and you have to wade through all the garbage/spam.

I guarantee you that while the iPhone guys are talking about how there are soooo many more apps in the Apple store now, the minute Android Market passes them their tune will switch to "well there are a lot of useless apps," and "numbers don't mean everything." Just watch, and you may use this post as a reference when you see it happening.

what im saying, is it necessary for 5 apps that are exaclty the same but different images for instance necessary? its just stuffing the marekt with useless crap.

for instance, go to your market, and check the just in section....

refreshing girl 16..
refreshing girl 15..
refreshing girl 14..
ETC.

all of these have only a FEW pics.. and are buggy as hell..

what the helll... stop flooding the market with garbage apps.
