What's wrong with my Evo?

I went to reply to a text, got the Radio Interface deal, but then the X showed up near the service bar, so I took the battery out and turned it back on.

The HTC logo popped up, then the Virgin Mobile animation, but then it just went to a black screen(but the notifaction bar was still up top, displaying the time, service bars, etc).

I've tried rebooting it about ten times, and it still is the same thing. Anybody know what's going on?

Your towers in your area might be getting worked on as Sprint rolls out Network Vision, worse case scenario something went really wrong with your phone. If you have access to another phone then you can try calling Virgin to see if they have any info info on the towers in your area.

Question: Can you access anything on your phone or does it just stay a blank screen with the status bar at the top?

It was very odd. The screen stayed black, but I WAS able to slide down the status bar, and go into settings. But as soon as I did that, I kept getting a popup about the wallpaper application failing to initialize or something.

After an hour or so, I just went to boot mode and did a factory reset. It's been fine since then. Very odd.
