Popular messaging service WhatsApp has announced that they will no longer continue to support various software versions across multiple platforms. Namely, support for Android 2.1 Froyo, and Android 2.2 Eclair will no longer be supported by the end of 2016. WhatsApp suggests upgrading to a new device before the end of 2016 if you wish to continue using its services.
