WhatsApp images

I sent a picture I took with the phones camera to someone using WhatsApp, I also sent it to a WhatsApp group that contains the same person that I'd sent it to individually, my question is will that person who I'd sent it to individually be downloading it again or because they have it previously will it retrieve it from their folder where it would have gone to the first time?

I ask as this person has issues with to much data being used up.

I think it's received twice.

WhatsApp creates a couple of folders where it stores images/videos etc you receive, WhatsApp Video and WhatsApp Images. If there are 2 copies in the WhatsApp Images folder, it's been received twice.
