Hi all,
So I finally made the switch to Android after a decade with Apple. Loving my new pixel 2, however I have a major problem with WhatsApp and I can't believe there is not a solution - pleassse help!
So on Apple you could simply receive a Whatsapp notification to the lock screen that would show the contacts name and nothing else, you would then open the app to see the actual message.
I use WhatsApp for work and personal for hours a day and it appears with ALL androids you are forced to either have a WhatsApp notification that shows part of the actual message and the contact on the lock screen OR a notification (hide sensitive content option) that just says 1 WhatsApp message received BUT not who its from.
It's essential I can see who the WhatsApp is from on the lock screen but while having the privacy of not having the actual message displayed!
If you can fix this you are a genius!
