whatsapp using a lot of internal storage data.

I use whatsapp for messaging between platform. I like using it, but it's using a lot of my internal storage data. First time I notice it's using 50+mb of data.

I did email the developers, he said to delete all the chats. I did that and the data is still there. the only way to clear it is to go to manage application and "clear data". If I do this, I have to sign in again, use my sms (I have to pay for every sms, that's why I'm using whatsapp), and relink all of my contacts again.

Now the data is at 20+mb.

Anybody knows how to clear the data without going into manage applications and have to sign in again.

Maybe the app is poorly coded and uses lots of data for just keeping the contacts and chats? Does it no show any ads or anything like that? That may be taking some cached space too.

20+MB in data seems a bit much, you have a lot of whatsapp contacts? My data is about 2MB and I'm already complaining.

I would like to know this as well. I only have 9 contacts and my data is at 10+ and creeping up all the time.

Thanks
