Whatsup display options in my contacts

When I open a contact the first option is voice and video chat. It  should be a message option because it's the most common practice

First of all welcome to the site!

Second, you should urgently black out your mother's telephone number in your screenshot and re-attach it. I am sure that you don't want this information broadcast to the world.

With regards to your actual question, I am sorry to say that I cannot help you. My phone displays contacts in a drastically different way (despite also being a Samsung phone). In fact whatsapp data is listed separately and the chat option is presented first for me. But hopefully someone with the same phone can be more helpful.

You should see a spanner icon with the description "tools" under your post. Clicking that should allow you to edit the image.
