Help When i move apps the size goes down

When i move a app from my xperia arc s to the sd card it goes from like 11mb to 1mb is this because some of the files in the app are required to be on the root of the phone? with this happening my phone memory is running out of space!
please help??

Yeah, a lot of apps will retain a certain percentage of data on the phones internal memory. The only way to move them over completely is to root and use an app like Apps2SD or Links2SD.

yeah ive tried to root it but it does not work with 2.3.4 or i do not understand :L

I also concern this issue with in few weeks. Before move app size 2MB but after moved display 512KB. I use App2SD but i have non-rooted xperia mini.
