When I turn off both my mobile data and my wifi, I get a strange notification

I do this to conserve battery on my galaxy s3 and the notification says "a connection could not be established with the server. how do i get rid of it because it is incredibly tedious to clear off all the time

You should never turn off or uncheck the mobile data box. Doing so doesn't significantly conserved battery power, but more likely cause the device to have internet connectivity problems.

No matter what you do, these smartphones batteries won't last as how we would like them to do. You'll find tips and info on this device inside its area of support.

Btw, hello and welcome aboard. :)

Hi poiulk, welcome to android forums.

Do you happen to know what app is causing these notifications? Or is just the phone itself?

On my last phone I would turn of my mobile data to save battery (I live in an area with poor signal, and the constant tries to the towers [I believe] were killing my batter)... and I don't recall any odd notifications then.

What android version is your phone running (Froyo, gingerbread, ICS, JB?)?

Again, welcome to android forums.
