Will you need to download it from the SE website? I got mine as an O2 upgrade at The Carphone Warehouse, and it has no branding at power up.

Yep, I sent an angry email demanding when this update would be available and was told sometime in Q4, they really are uselss. I've given up with it. I'm just waiting on my bonus and then getting a new phone from someone else, probably HTC.

You will probably need to get the update through Sony's software (SEUS or PC Companion). Only works on Windows so if you have a Linux or a Mac, better get a Windows partition!

i agree, but its the network providers that hold it up!!

i think they check it out first so that there is nothing to "debrand" their phones.

cant see it being OTA as this is a big upgrade. I surmise its gonna be the same as the R26 through PC Companion.
