When is Froyo coming out?

Im just curious to know how long more do I have to wait for Froyo? Or should I just splash my cash on the new HTC Android 2.1 phones. Seems like the 2.1 is already 4 months old when Desire/Legend is released and wondering if its a good idea to wait for Android 3 instead :p
 
haha sorry guys.. i thought nexus one was released in early january with 2.1 but has only come to europe a good 4 months later.. meaning its new in this market but not new on its own age (considering it took 1.6 to 2.1 around 4 months too)
