I own a Galaxy Mega, I Love my phone! But when when when when do we get the kitkat update??????????????
Well... at this point, the only way to experience Kitkat OS and APPs will be installing custom ROMS.

I'm do sick of buying phones with Metro. They never give us (censored) software updates even when we buy the most expensive phones they offer. (censored) them. Samsung is just as full of it, too.
I've been an Android supporter since it's inception, but dammit, at least Apple keeps all of their users updated on the OS.
So pissed. Oh lemme just void my (censored) warranty so I can use the newest Google OS software.
IF anyone needs help to unlock the metropcs samsung galaxy mega, to unlock it manually. Here is the codes, and thee instructions. So easy, just fallow the steps!
UNLOCK CODES/ NCK 49146863/ SPCK 83738268
If this code work on other samsung galaxy mega, then it be awesome for unlock first time users! If not work here how to get the codes from metropcs.
STEP 1) CAll metro 611, to talk to agent. When talking to agent ask for the nck, and spck codes. After u give them ur info like name, phone #, and security. They will ask for ur email, give them ur email. When they set it up, they will tell whomever, it would take 2, to 3 buisness days to receive the codes
STEP 2) Once received the codes. In proccess of unlocking, calling certain # wont help, I tried planty of times. If have unused same fiting sim card, which could be standard, micro, or nano. Take out the original sim, insert the unused sim, thats inactive,, can be from same carrier, or other carrier. Place that sim in the phone and turn on the phone. Now the NCK, or thee SPCK, will come on, whichever shows first. Enter each code, one step at a time. Now when done entering both, whomever phone will be unlocked.
STEP 3) If switching to another carrier, and want to keep same #, call metro, and ask for the account number, and password. And the metro service needs to be still active when switching the # to other carrier. So do that on bill day! Thats what I been told at walmarts, due to keeping same number. So I decided not to, alot of hazard going on!
STEP 4) Make sure whomever phone is accepted, to certain carrier. Cause not all GSM LTE, AND CDMA, are not accepted. If switching to straight talk, get the package, which includes the monthly plan services, service pin, At&t, and T-mobile sim cards. And the cdma network codes. If have gsm, I recommend at&t network service, due to better coverage.
PS/ Asking for the 2 unlock codes are free, when receiving from metro. So it be no used to purchase the codes, from online.

Whomever does the steps that i have given, once done, restart the phone. Once on, go onto setting, click on more, on top right hand side. Click on about device. Once on, click on status. Make sure (network shows, at&t,,, service state shows, in service,,, and mobile network state shows, connected).
And i quote, " this is to get 4g, or the 3g network to show on phone" if switched to straight talk, and using at&t network. I dont know about tmobile apn settings! " switching service and using same phone, afrer switched, yeah u be able to call, and send messages, or received them!" if the apn is wrong, whomever will not be able to use the internet on the phone. "my apn settings shouldnt be nomore different to other phones, while having straight talk, / at&t network" cause if done at walmarts, i dont know about all walmarts, but walmarts where i live will use the same apn settings, for the straight talk/ at&t network.
