when wifi reconnect? dBm

Hi I am curious on whitch level Android OS is trying to reconnect on other wifi AP. I mean on which signal strenght (in dBm please).

For understanding - I have got wide wireless network - around 20 access points with the same ssid (name of network). If user connect to one AP, he can go anywhere and phone/tablet/etc. reconnect to nearest ap and works fine. But now I realise that some places got problem and user is connected to one ap and suddenly trying to reconnect to other but they have signal around 68-71 dBm.
 
Your network is set up wrong. The APs, if they're all on the same subnet, should each have different SSIDs, to start. (If they're on different subnets you won't transition from one AP to the next, the device will lose one connection and start another one on the next AP.)

And you should have no less than -75dbm at any point in the coverage area. If there are spots with less signal than that, move an AP or add one.

And alternate channels (spacing of at least 3 channels, preferably 4) so you don't get 2 APs interfering with each other at any point in the coverage area.

As far as your question, each phone is different. Take 5 sequential phones off an assembly line and you'll get different values with each one. Transition point signal level not only isn't checked, it's not part of the design of the radio. It just is what it is for that particular radio. I've seen my phone lose or regain wifi signals at different signal levels - the same phone, different routers.

Mapping that to determine exactly how to place your APs, so the phone would smoothly transition from one AP to the next without losing the connection would cost you more than you'd be willing to pay. (The people who do that kind of work make neurosurgeons' prices look reasonable. And a long surgery is only 1 man and a few hours. You're talking about a team and a couple of weeks minimum.) "Empirical engineering" (trial and error) is the way it's normally done. (It's not cost effective - move a metal desk 2 feet and you have remap that entire area. Even moving bodies have some effect.)
